“so i figured it all out…
you go looking for a job, finally find a pretty good paying, interesting, and planned out job for you that is good for your schedule, but they tell you that you need more experience to work here because you have none…at the same time you need the job for experience…
that’s where parents come in. they chit chat a little and get you the job you’ve been waiting for, and you never needed the experience. your fellow employees or your manager teaches you the ropes, and you become the best or a damn good worker.
so no matter what, either you’ve never had a job before because you’re too damn lazy to find one and your parents give you everything in the world because you’re a spoiled brat, you’ve never had a job because of this theory and because the people who are looking for workers are butts and want people who “are born with this experience,” OR you need a job and your parents talk to the manager/the boss and eventually you get the job, everything is handed down to you.
this is where our generation lacks this one aspect in life: appreciation. i appreciate the fact that i got my job back working at Chateau and never had ANY kind of restaurant-worker experience before, i just wish some people like my best friend Kaitlynn Ledet could get the job here, even though she’s never had a job, but her parents did the best they could to make sure she was happy with what she had in life AND that she understood she couldn’t always have what she wanted. her parents are really great parents and she grew up knowing that things in life aren’t always easy, or handed down to you, and maybe some things are unfair and handed down to others, but you still have to work hard to EARN what you deserve..this is as simple as adult responsibility, that only some wise people in our generation will understand but most of us won’t ever get to experience…because it’s handed down to us.
Kaitlynn, i will always have your back, and i have talked to the managers again about getting you the job, but they’re still “thinking about it” like always :/ lawls
and of course, this status wasn’t made intending any kind of offense towards anyone, like some people might guess. this was only my train of thought for MANY years and i eventually began to understand this concept once i was introduced into the wold of work, and i just wanted to include an example from a great friend :D”
